Pagla Masjid

Kishoreganj, Bangladesh
Pagla Masjid
According to tradition, a mad spiritual devotee floated on a mat on the banks of the river Narsunda and came to the place of the mosque. Gradually, fans started gathering around him. After the death of the spiritual saint, a mosque was built next to his grave. Which is now very well known as Pagla Mosque.

Built in modern architectural style, the present land area of this mad mosque is 3 acres and 6 percent. However, in the beginning, only 10 per cent of the waqf land of Hibatnagar Dewanbari was included in the name of the mosque. The roof of the three-storey Pagla Mosque has three large domes and a minaret equal to a five-storey building. The mosque, which has a capacity of more than a thousand worshipers, has separate arrangements for women to perform their prayers.

The mosque is considered as a very sacred religious center not only by the followers of Islam but also by all the followers of religion. Many people have a firm belief that if someone donates to this mosque with his signature, his wish will be fulfilled. It is located in Harua area of Kishoreganj city.
