Balihar Rajbari is located in Kurmail mouza of Balihar union, 16 km west of Naogaon district town. The zamindar of Balihar was one of the old zamindars of Naogaon who got jagir in the Muslim period. It is said that a zamindar of Balihar got a jagir as a charter of Emperor Aurangzeb. The nine-wheeled chariot of Balihar was famous. Many of the zamindars of Balihar were highly educated. Raja Krishnendranath Roy was a writer. Rajendra, the zamindar of Balihar, had erected a magnificent bronze idol of Goddess Rajeshwari in the famous fort temple here before he was converted in 1823. Many rooms inside the temple building. One of these rooms is also known to have been a temple. In front of the Balihar palace, the temple with its ornate ornaments and part of the huge two-storey palace is still attractive to the visitors.

Distance from district headquarters is 20 km. Any vehicle can be reached by road.
