Nuhash Polli
Gazipur, Bangladesh
Nuhash Polli is a picnic spot located at Pirujali village, 25 km away from Gazipur district headquarter. At present, Nuhash Polli covers an area of about 40 bighas. The late popular novelist Humayun Ahmed built this garden house as his family entertainment and shooting spot in Gazipur, near Dhaka.
Nuhash Palli is located in Gazipur district, adjacent to Dhaka. Hotapara Bazar is a small village market, which is 12 km away from Gazipur Chandana crossroads on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. 8 km west of there, there is a village called Pirujali. Humayun Ahmed built Nuhash Polli with 40 bighas of land in that village, 15 years ago.
Nuhash Polli is a quiet secluded park inside the deep forest of shorea robusta trees. A garden surrounded by dense greenery. Litchi, blackberry, palm and olive trees scattered all around. A carpet of green grass laid beneath them. The silent beauty of nature enlivens the traveler here. Humayun Ahmed, the legendary writer of postmodern Bengali fiction, is asleep here forever.
